This piece was abstracted from some observations while swimming in my partner's apartment building's pool. I was staring at the black paint that divides the shallow end from the deep end along the bottom and sides of the pool wall. Something interesting happens to dark colours through water where the speed of light appears to slow on top (making yellow) and speeding up on top (making blue).
